Archdiocese of Boston, Sherborn, MA

Externally, St. Theresa’s is the quintessential New England village church, white clapboards, steeple and all. Internally, the building is ingeniously planned not only to accommodate contemporary Catholic worship, but also to incorporate meeting rooms, parish offices, and living quarters for the pastor. In the nave, seating is arranged in a semicircle focusing on the altar. Careful placement of windows and skylights keeps the light-filled interior glare-free, and exposed framing timbers contribute architectural character as well as structural support.
