Emmanuel Chapel, Emmanuel College, MA

The Chapel at Emmanuel College, designed by Charles Maginnis, is the heart of the college’s main academic and administration building.  Much of the restoration work involved cleaning and conservation of the original marble, stained glass, polychrome ceiling, and metalwork (the work of Tiffany Studios).  The architects designed a new free-standing marble altar, integrating it with the original reredos, and recreated the original damask-patterned stenciling in the apse.
